denmarkguy, thanks for stopping by. Yes, the very nature of life is that it's always changing. With having goals, we can adjust as those things change. If I have a resolution to lose (or "release" as John Assaraf teaches us) 10 pounds, should I stop once I get there, or would it be better to have a goal of eating healthy and exercising every day, which would allow me to release those ten pounds in the process. If I simply resolve to lose those ten pounds, chances are I'll find them again by mid year!

Goals (or, as a dear friend calls them, "gentle suggestions") are so much better than resolutions, in part because of the time flexibility. Everything does NOT revolve around January 1st, and I am not always ready to set my goals at just this one time of the year. What happens when I realize something is a goal... on April 23rd? Do I "save" it for eight months? I don't think so... Life is always in flux, so flexibility with goals is essential.

I'm so new at this, I forgot to list my own blog after my comment. I am enjoying reading yours, it's almost like reading my own mind! The Having It All Challenge is the single most empowering thing I've ever done in my life, and I hope to share it with everyone I love.

Here's to a great 2008,

Jennifer

Hi Janelle, Thank you for stopping by! Yes, it's a glacier from last years trip to Alaska. It was in the Glacier Bay area. It was a fantastic trip and provided an abundance of photo opportunities! Wordpress allows you to have a customer header. Go into presentation, custom image header, and then upload from your computer. Have fun! The glaciers are absolutely breathtaking.

I love the photo in the top of your template! Is that a glacier? Awesome! I'm going to have to pick your brain about how you got the piccy up there ... I want to use a photo of either one of our lighthouses or at least some redwoods and rhodies (rhododendrens). I enjoyed seeing your blog ... I shall book mark it and check back often!

papaw arthur,

Thank you for your post, you wouldn’t believe what great timing it was! I was having one of those “life moments” driving home. Although everything is great, I was questioning how much headway I was making and whether I was moving down the right path.

I asked my “Al” for some kind of sign to let me know if I was headed in the right direction. Your reply was waiting for me when I logged on and worded in such a way that it was as if you were listening to the conversation in my head! Thank you!! =)

I believe you have more to contribute to the universe than you have to date and than you have ever imagined. I would suggest interacting with your soul, spirit, power greater than I, whatever works for you and make it a structured routine every day. Give whatever it is a name. I used to call mine Al.
